The Founder
Debbie - I am a highly experienced BACP Accredited Therapist with years of experience as a Counsellor, EMDR Trauma Therapist, Dynamic Interpersonal Therapist and Counselling Supervisor, who is passionate about my work.
I set up Lockyer Therapy in 2011. My vision was to set up a successful independent private practice where clients would feel safe and able to address their struggles without judgment. I pride myself on providing a warm and empathic service.
Location
Sessions are held in a private garden office set in a lovely garden with calming views and easy access for clients via a separate private entrance.

Lockyer Therapy is a professional, independent Private Practice, based in the local area of Ensbury Park, Bournemouth.
I provide one to one Counselling, Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy, and EMDR Trauma Therapy to adults who are experiencing a range of issues that are impacting on their day to day life. I also offer Counselling Supervision to qualified Counsellors.
Sessions are held in my private garden Office, providing a confidential, warm and friendly environment.
Referrals are accepted from a range of sources including self referral, GP, Bournemouth Council and EAP providers (Employee Assistance Programme.
What I offer...
Counselling
One to one Counselling for Adults ranging in age from 18 upwards to deal with depression.
EMDR Trauma Therapy
Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) Trauma Therapy for clients struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other distressing life experiences.
Counselling Supervision
Clinical Supervision for Counsellors requiring ongoing support in their own clinical work in line with BACP Guidelines.
